Yukari Miwa

As a yoga coordinator, Yukari Miwa conveys the joy and appeal of yoga in her own way. In this second part, we asked her about the breathing that matters in yoga, her own yoga today, her thoughts on and expectations for 'PokeEarn,' an oxygen-harnessing product she calls 'a tablet that fits yoga too,' and her challenges ahead.

* For this article, our company provided a pre-release test sample of 'PokeEarn' and commissioned the interview, which has been edited and published here.

* This interview was conducted in July 2025, and the statements and content in the article reflect the time of the interview.

A yoga breathing method that circulates 'ki' through the body.
Turning attention to the breath even in everyday life

Yoga guides you toward harmony through breathing, poses, and meditation. What exactly are its breathing techniques?

"Yoga has many breathing techniques, with varied effects such as purifying the mind and body and balancing the autonomic nervous system. All of them circulate through the body the life force called 'prana' via the breath, guiding mind and body toward harmony."

Miwa apparently is often conscious of her breathing in everyday life, too.

"Whenever something comes up, I take a deep breath. When I am watching TV or looking at a computer, my back gradually rounds and my breathing gets shallow, and I go, oh no, no, and take a deep breath (laughs). When I am tense, too, I take one breath and relax. Whenever I notice it, I first breathe deeply, then stretch, then let go of the tension. The image is of circulating oxygen through my body."

What kind of yoga is Miwa doing at home these days?

"As I have gotten older I have lost my own time, but by doing yoga each day, even briefly, I make sure to have time just for myself. People tend to assume I do it strictly even at home, but it is really just little things, getting the parts that bother me moving, loosening them up. These days I feel this is what yoga in my own style is."

Making use of oxygen,
"A tablet that fits yoga too"

Miwa, who faces her body, mind, and breathing, takes 'PokeEarn,' an oxygen-harnessing product containing the plant-derived ingredient Kaempferol.

"In yoga, too, breathing techniques for making the most of oxygen are important, so I was surprised by the concept of a product that lets you make the most of that oxygen. It is 'a tablet that fits yoga too,' is it not?"

She apparently also likes that the ingredient 'Kaempferol' it contains is plant-derived, extracted from horseradish leaves.

"I was surprised that kaempferol is a component found in large amounts in horseradish leaves, and above all I like that it is plant-derived, which gives the feeling of making the most of nature's blessings."

For Miwa, the tastiness and ease of eating are also part of 'PokeEarn's appeal, she says.

"The first time I ate 'PokeEarn,' it had a refreshing taste and a faintly fragrant, pleasant flavor, with a feeling of it smoothly settling in. I like the texture when you chew it, too."

Miwa takes 'PokeEarn' to suit her various situations.

"After trying various things, I probably take it most often for my relaxation time or rest. I also take it on the morning of a tough day, or when I want to push myself a little more, or whenever I want to spur myself on."

PokeEarn draws out what I already have within me
For moving forward with inner strength
Partner

Having brought 'PokeEarn' into her life, Miwa spends her days full of energy and motivation.

"The 'ki' in genki (energy) and yaruki (motivation) is what yoga calls prana. Since encountering 'PokeEarn,' even on tough days I have been able to spend my days with the same energy and motivation as before."

Miwa wants to keep taking 'PokeEarn' going forward. What does she expect from it?

"The image I have of 'PokeEarn' is less that it supplements from the outside and more that it makes the most of the power within you. I want to keep moving forward with the power I inherently have and to generate my own vitality, so I am counting on it to play the role of a partner in that!"

She apparently wants to recommend 'PokeEarn' to the yoga people around her too.

"I want to tell people that what is good about it is that it makes the most of what you already have rather than taking something in from outside. Beyond that, people who work hard every day, people who want to rest properly. I would love to recommend it to all kinds of people!"

If Miwa were to describe 'PokeEarn' in a single phrase, what would it be?

"It is 'a good-luck charm for energy and motivation.' I want to keep taking it and spend my days full of energy and motivation."

Free of fixed ideas,
I want to excite everyone through yoga

Miwa has widened her field of activity in her own way. What will she take on next?

"I love creating things that do not yet exist in this world, and imagining is fun for me. Whether it is collaborative events with people from fields outside yoga, or, since I also have a diving license, an event where everyone does yoga on the beach and then calms their bodies with snorkeling, I want to convey the joy of yoga without being bound by fixed ideas."

In the past she even sent a proposal of her own and collaborated with an apparel brand to create yoga wear.

"There used to be no yoga wear that excited me, whether in function or cuteness, and I thought that if I made some, everyone else might get excited too. Going forward, I want to keep thinking about what increases everyone's excitement, including my own, and create experiences and products around that."

Finally, when we asked her for advice for people who do yoga or want to start, 'excitement' was the keyword here too.

"I have been telling people that harmony matters in yoga, but when you add feelings of excitement and fun to that, it works on your mind and body more and more. Enjoy yoga, and enjoy life!"
